The Lower Chamber of the National Assembly summons Alison-Madueke over $8 billion Crude Oil Swap Deal

The joint committees on petroleum resources (downstream & upstream) and judiciary have summoned Diezani Alison-Madueke, minister of petroleum resources, over alleged under delivery of petroleum products worth $8 billion under the crude oil swap arrangement. Other corporate bodies expected to testify at the ongoing hearing are the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Ontario, Aiteco, Vitol, PPPRA, Mercuria Energy and Eterna Oil and Gas. Muraina Ajibola, chairman, House committee on petroleum (upstream), issued the directive on Wednesday. According to Ajibola, “I have not heard anything from her (minister). We will give her a date to appear before us and that will be the last.”
